Twin Inferno I Playground for Taoists, Mastery, and Sovereignty

What is spiritual? Whisky or ghost spirits? In your spiritual belief system, which has higher proof?

What is a spirit?

What is spiritual?

Who’s the ‘spirit’?

Come on, that’s the spirit.

Let’s drink some spirits!

What do you mean by ‘spiritual’ when you utter the word?

Have you considered, what is spiritual?

Anything that is equated to a belief system isn’t spiritual. So when I’m asked ‘am I spiritual?’, I must always reply by asking, “What do you mean by spiritual?”. In fact, anything I could possibly put in words would completely miss the point, for that which has true spirit has no words, symbols, energies, beliefs, or perspectives.

The spirit cannot correctly be portrayed as transient or permanent, nor can it accurately be described as ‘eternal’; for eternity is contingent on the basis of time, a reflection of our creation.

Belief is structured in time and the spawn of mind. In this place the spiritual becomes a farce of its original essence. Here, it’s the travesty of bold ego laden words that lead us to think it’s possible to have a 'spiritual belief system'.

There’s someone sitting next to you… it’s me.

I buy you a drink as you take the first sip and ask, “So, tell me something I’ve never heard before, would you?”

In this image, the character ‘X’Tzu’ from ‘11:11 El Luchador Gauntlet’ ask, “What do you mean by ‘spiritual’?”

Can there ever really be a ‘spiritual’ belief system when beliefs define souls, but faith suggests spirit?

“Hmmmm, did you know that my watch uses a quartz crystal to keep accurate time? Although I like the sound of its tick ticking, my interest in its vibrational characteristics is no more ‘spiritual’ than eating a giant hotdog at the fair.

To call spirits ‘spiritual’ is like calling a 5th of whisky a ‘spirit’… Yeah yeah, I know,  that’s what you see when you look at the label on the bottle.

What then is a spirit, if it’s not spiritual? It’s a perceptively bound ego struggling to define another bound ego.

Yep, spirits are carnival entities, and most… well they’re stuck in the funhouse. Here’s the thing, they’re real difficult to get a focus on with our hung over bloodshot eyes, hard to smell (‘cause many don’t use Old Spice), and a strain to hear because the carnival music is way too loud).

Some of these ‘hard to sees’ are of our own making (the soap box magician calls them ‘servitors’). These are slightly wakened newbie’s, while others appear as freak show workers; like the translucent man, black hat shadow dime toss hawker, and the angelic sulfur gas apparition that wafts in and out of the outhouse.

The definition of ‘spiritual’ is an attempt to take that which cannot be defined, and capture it.

"Friend, 'spirits' come as shallow and as sharp as 'humans' do," I suggest.

…enjoying a game of pool with some whisky spirits. Look close… you might see a few ‘ghuests’ who haven’t downed their shot.

Some are quite ‘spirited’, yet I do get an overwhelming sense of sadness for a few. N’ others, well… I just want to kick their ass. They’re locked in bathroom stalls and carnival packing boxes… scratching to get out.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that just because a person may look like another person, it doesn’t mean their ‘spiritual’ nature’s the same. These whispers in the dark, moving lamps and chairs, at times have been created by us… ‘humans’. All that’s conjured has awareness, albeit in different amounts - and we wonder why some of them are so pissed off!

Upon contemplation, it’s clear that the dualistic ‘you’ and ‘i’ were conjured by ego.

Navigating the servitors at the Saloon in Encinitas. Strange how servitors stop serving when you’ve drank too much duality.

When our ghost eyes embrace the ‘apparitions of truth’, we soon find ourselves cleared from the room and our haunting ways.

Damn! Disrespected creations come back to us, seeking to reinforce our temporal delusion, desiring that we would become like they. They become our mirrors, our traps, our temporal future, and act as big ole’ stumbling blocks that prevent us from hanging out in the present.

As Stetson wearing ‘humans’, we occasionally bind these entities to do our bidding. They, in turn, strive to jump on us like a tick, feeding upon the negative energy we produce when we see them attached! These lower vibrations get into all sorts of shenanigans, making us feel like we saw one of our friends fall out of the Ferris Wheel, or flung from the turbo-ride. We see ‘ghosts’ and wonder why they do the things they do. But to other spirits, we are the ‘ghosts’, bouncing against walls and making no sense whatsoever.”

The beer you accepted may have been worth it. Still, you wonder why you asked the question in the first place… especially to a complete stranger. As you get up to walk out, you wonder ‘if you were conjured’.  As you step into your pickup, you feel yourself pondering why you do the things you do. You reassure yourself, ‘Whatever the answer happens to be, life’s still incredible.

Suddenly, you see me. I’m getting into the adjacent truck. I have one more thing to say, “Oh yeah… true spirit, outside the carnival is far removed from the duality of energy and matter, existence and non-existence. Until I realized this, true mastery of the playground wasn’t possible; slow dances weren’t as deep, and neon signs weren’t as bright. So I’m just asking… but where do you want to be?

Got to run now, there’s bathrooms to be mopped.”

Declaration

“Any belief that spirits are different than my ‘smaller self’ is now uncreated, deconstructed, eliminated, and sent to the corner pocket in a loving, compassionate way. I now tip my hat, and smile. It is done. Go on now… get!”

Declaration

“I know that the ‘spiritual’ is the opposite of what most believe, and resonate knowing that vibration and energy masquerade as the ‘spiritual path’. What the ‘lower self’ mind believes to be higher consciousness enlightenment is but the state of being ‘en-light-ended.’

notes

The term ‘spiritual’ is most bombastic. Hardly anything that holds that ‘honor’ is actual spirit. A ghost is not spirit, energy is not spirit, information is not spirit, the spirit of the bible is not spirit, the spirit of the event is not spirit, a beverage which incite the emotions is not a spirit - they are mind. More so, a soul is not of the spirit, nor is that which ‘in-spires’.

All these definitions are masks, ones our lower-selves have foisted upon our language of brain and speech. It was done to make us unwilling to question… a way to protect ego.

Being self-actualized is not spiritual, lighting incense and chanting is not spiritual, being at one with ‘nature’ is not spiritual, the holy ghost is not spiritual, the world ‘uncontaminated’ by greed is not spiritual, communion is not spiritual, chakras are not of the spirit, and everything that is every-thing is not spiritual. Anything with label is not spirit, all things that have ever been learned - from science to logic to religion have no spirit. A forest and a mountain has no spirit (but do have soul). Anything that has life and death, up and down, good and bad is not spiritual.

We’d love to have a drink with you in the Alchemy Lounge.
